PART 01/02
Art. Wonder. Experience., or A.W.E., is a Louisville nonprofit offering free weekly art classes to anyone curious enough to walk through the door. Its mission is simple: an artistic space that belongs to the whole community, at no cost.
I set out to give A.W.E. an identity as open as its studio. Built around a single idea, unity, the rebrand pairs a mark designed for instant recognition with a five-color palette that works like a painter’s palette, where no color outranks another. The system carries from signage and social to print, and extends into packaging that brings art supplies, and A.W.E.’s ethos, beyond its walls. The project went on to win first place nationally at FBLA’s 2024 Graphic Design competition.

PART 02/02
Two years after rebranding A.W.E., I came back with a new question: what would it take for every corner of Louisville to actually show up? Free classes only matter if people can find them, plan around them and get there. And for many residents, especially families in Louisville’s underserved neighborhoods, those major barriers were the reason they never came.
The app brings the original identity into a mobile experience built around ease. A bento-style home screen gives a quick summary of your week, a day-by-day filter makes finding a class simple, and a swipe-up checklist lets you bring your kids and plan a mode of transportation before you even get there. Donating was rethought too: instead of just asking for money, the Give tab invites people to drop off supplies or volunteer their time, so supporting A.W.E. feels like taking part rather than paying in.
